Machines worth keeping get a real repairman.

Call or text Steve with the make and model, then bring the machine, cord, foot control, and bobbin case to the right drop-off counter.

Old Singers, daily machines, school machines — we open them before we guess.

We repair and service sewing machines for people who want the machine they already own to keep working, or aren’t ready to give up on it. Mechanical, electronic, vintage Singers, Featherweights, Brother, Kenmore, Bernina, Elna, Pfaff, Viking, Juki, Necchi, Janome, White, New Home, Bernette and more come through Steve’s bench.

The first answer is free. Steve checks the machine, calls with the estimate, and waits for approval before the work starts. If a very high-end model, serger, industrial machine, or electrical problem belongs somewhere else, we say that plainly and point you in a better direction.

Mr. Repair, Inc. has been open since 2000, after Steve began repair training in 1986 and took over the Denver service district in 1990. In 2007, we became a vendor for Metro County School Districts, servicing sewing machines for Consumer and Family Studies programs.

In February 2016, Steve completed one-on-one Necchi training at Janome Headquarters in Mahwah, New Jersey. That credential matters here because many customers are not bringing disposable machines — they are bringing machines with history.

The machines people worry a chain shop will turn away.

Older family machines, Featherweights, sturdy mechanical models, and everyday home machines all deserve a careful look. We clean, oil, adjust tension, order parts for many brands, and talk through whether the repair makes sense before you spend money on it.

Scissor sharpening belongs in the same trip.

Bring dull sewing scissors with the machine or drop them off on their own. We sharpen sewing shears, fabric scissors, and the specialty edges quilters do not want guessed at.
